Egypt was added as a new official map in update2.7.0. Until measured surface colors are available, scout it by surface families: sand/stone, shadowed corridors, props, and long sightlines.

Source basis: Steam News update2.7.0 confirms the new map. Surface colors and best spots are not yet measured on this site, so this page focuses on a safe first-scout method.
Steam News update2.7.0 says a new official map, Egypt, has been added. That is enough to treat Egypt as current map content, but not enough to publish exact hex values, spawn points, or guaranteed hiding spots.
Do the first Egypt rounds as scouting rounds. Name the surface families, test what lighting does to sand/stone tones, and record where Seekers naturally enter or turn first.
First scouting checklist
Use the first two rounds to answer these questions before chasing perfect paint:
- Which surfaces dominate: sand, stone, walls, props, banners, floors, or dark interiors?
- Which areas create hard shadows that change the same base color?
- Where does the Seeker’s first scan naturally land?
- Which props break your silhouette, and which only create a flat outline?
- Does the map have long straight sightlines that punish open-wall hiding?
Hider approach
Start with large, believable surfaces rather than tiny decorative accents. If Egypt follows a warm sand/stone palette, the main trap will likely be brightness, not hue: a body that is too clean, too glossy, or too flat will read as a player even when the color family is close.
Until measured values are available, use the Color Trainer to practice matching warm surfaces by value first, then saturation.
Seeker approach
On a new map, Seekers should avoid random shooting. Build a repeatable scan route:
- clear entrances and corners first;
- check props that create human-height vertical shapes;
- compare repeated surface patterns for one broken rhythm;
- treat suspicious perfect color matches as possible decoys if the silhouette does not belong.
What not to claim yet
This page will not publish:
- exact Egypt color codes before measurement;
- best hiding spots without repeated gameplay evidence;
- spawn behavior;
- round-specific route guarantees.
